Many of the countries in the Global Far East have made definitive innovations to the Internet of Things (IoT). According to the OECD, Korea is leading the world in devices online per 100 inhabitants at 37.9, with the next closest competitor ranking in at 32.7 (The US weighs in at a measly 24.9).

Houses with these technological innovations installed are becoming increasingly popular within the real estate market as the Internet of Things (IoT) continues to transform the way we live our lives. Turning a home into a smart home with various IoT technologies can increase the value of a house substantially.

Employee Spotlight: Glenn Rodgers, VP of Production

About 12 years ago, Glenn Rodgers and Mike Justice sat in an empty building and Glenn made a little, paper sign that said "Grid Connect" and hung it on the door. Glenn and several other employees worked for the next four months without a salary until the Grid Connect business got going. It's clear that Glenn has been extremely dedicated to working for Grid Connect from day one.

The IoT in 2025

When we talk about the future, wandering minds drift toward watery visions of flying cars, personal robots, and hover boards where all work is banished by fully automated technology. I tend to picture this kind of future a bit more like Wall-E: humans as a race of fat sluggish incompetents surrounded by an entirely preset system. Thankfully this vision just doesn’t line up with reality.
