Product Description
The ESP-EYE combines Espressif’s ESP32-D0WD chip with their proven Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) development frameworks to deliver the ideal development board for a variety of facial detection and audio recognition applications.
The device offers a 2-megapixel camera as an input and uses its patented ESP-WHO artificial intelligence software to process the image. It not only detects faces and their positions, but also recognizes the facial features to identify the user for personalized interactions. The imbedded microphone allows for voice recognition and commands.
The ESP32-D0WD chip provides Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, as well as 8 Mbyte PSRAM and a 4 Mbyte flash storage capacity.
This whole process is integrated into Espressif's ESP-IDF (IoT Development Framework) to provide a link between ESP32 devices. Image transmission are supported via Wi-Fi and debugging and firmware updates are possible via a micro-USB port.
