Certified PROFINET Installer PLUS Troubleshooting and Maintenance Class

A practical workshop covering both PROFINET Troubleshooting & Maintenance and an internationally accredited course covering PROFINET network installation.

Day one covers the basic, essential information for anyone who is working with PROFINET at a technical level: designers, commissioning engineers, maintenance technicians, and of course installers. It is centered on PROFINET, however, the topics apply to other Industrial Ethernet technologies.

Day two covers advanced topics for commissioning, health analysis, scope interpretation, and fault finding on operational PROFINET systems.

Successful completion of this course and related tests also provides an essential pre-requisite to the more advanced Certified PROFINET Engineer Course.

No prior knowledge of Industrial Ethernet systems is required before attending; however, even very experienced network engineers who previously attended the course say that they gained valuable knowledge on how to avoid problems.

• Interference pickup (EMC), cable routing and earthing considerations, earth potential problems and their avoidance
• PROFINET conformance classes
• Wiring and installation testing

• Considerations for network maintenance and commissioning
• Network configuration and the use of GSDML files
• Setup of network devices
• Qualification criteria for PROFINET networks
• The use of conformance Class B switches and their importance to the ongoing support of a PROFINET Network
• The use of PROFINET monitoring tools to audit a network
  

Attendees will receive a certificate from PROFI International (PI) after successfully completing the course and accompanying tests (practical application + theory).
