The mbNET.ROKEY takes security to another level providing Key-controlled Remote Access. The key switch is manually rotated to three positions, allowing the end-user to control how and when remote access is granted. This switch is an essential security element recommending by leading cyber security authorities, such as BSI. When secure access is granted via the key switch, the ROKEY features an onboard digital output that can be used to enable a local audible or visual alarm to notify local staff when an active remote access session is in progress.
The mbNET.ROKEY also has an onboard security chip that safely stores the certificates, passwords and data. Each unit gets a unique password assigned at the factory, so there is no way to mistakenly leave a unit with a default password that everyone knows. The firmware is signed and uses Secure Boot to ensure that the router only boots with trusted firmware.
