Decouple CAN networks with the plug-in CAN OptoAdapter.  This adapter is a general-purpose, plug-in optical adapter for electrically decoupling CANbus systems.  Integrated logic allows decoupling at any point in the CAN network.  Phase delays on the optical couplers mean each optical adapter represents a virtual cable as shown in this chart.

CAN Optical Adapter Features:

  • Optical decoupling and electrical isolation by DC/DC converters to 500 V.

  • Transfer rates up to 1M Baud.
  • Philips 82C250 CAN transceiver.
  • CAN bus connection via Sub-D, 9-pin (to CiA DS102-1).
