Product Description

The ATOP EMG8510 is an IP67-rated, railway-compliant Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for high-speed connectivity in wayside and on-board railway deployments. Its rugged aluminum enclosure provides reliable protection for internal components across a wide range of operating environments.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) Eight M12 Gigabit ports support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, delivering up to 30 W per port with a total power budget of 240 W. PoE simplifies infrastructure in locations where running additional cabling is impractical, hazardous, or cost-prohibitive. The EMG8510 is well-suited for both on-board and wayside surveillance systems.

Fiber Uplink Two Gigabit SFP slots enable direct fiber-optic connections to the network backbone, eliminating the need for copper repeaters and ensuring signal integrity over long distances.

Redundant Power Input The EMG8510 features a dual-input redundant power supply to maximize uptime and reduce single points of failure. Models are available in two input voltage ranges: low-voltage DC (12–57 VDC; 47–57 VDC for PoE variants) and high-voltage DC (50–145 VDC). Each power module connects via an S-coded M12 connector and includes a relay output for fault alarm integration.

Cybersecurity & Access Control To protect against unauthorized network access, the EMG8510 implements user account management, password policy enforcement, and authentication controls in compliance with IEC 62443.

Environmental Specifications With IP67 ingress protection, an operating temperature range of -40°C ~ 70°C (-40°F ~ 158°F), the EMG8510 is designed for deployment in harsh railway and industrial environments.
