The CAN bus 3kV Isolator protects devices connected to CAN Bus networks by withstanding high voltage transients and surges up to 3kV. By adding this isolator to your network, it becomes highly immune to electrical noise, such as electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). This protection ensures that the CAN bus signals remain clean and unaffected.

Isolation also breaks the ground connection between the CAN transceiver and the rest of the system, thus, eliminating ground loops and their associated problems.

No software driver required.

The 3kV isolator connects to the DB9 CAN bus connector. It uses +5VDC for power which can be provided using a PC adapter with +5VDC provided on PIN1 (not included).

NOTE: A 3kV isolator must be added to each device on the CAN Bus network.
