Product Description
Reading CAN bus data doesn't have to mean cutting wires. The Contactless CAN Bus Reader attaches directly to CAN H/L wiring and captures data through electromagnetic induction — no splicing or connector access required.
It operates in listen-only mode, leaving the bus entirely undisturbed. Warranty protection stays intact and cybersecurity compliance holds — the adapter draws no power from the bus and transmits nothing onto it.
Compatible with CANedge data loggers and CANsub interfaces. Built for fleet telematics and industrial applications where connector access is limited, including UN ECE R155-regulated environments requiring read-only network access.
Installation
Prepare the adapter:
- Open the housing carefully using a plastic pry tool
- Remove the backing from the double-sided tape
- Insert the CAN-H and CAN-L wires on the marked surface
- Close the housing until it clicks into place
The adapter is now ready to connect to your CAN logger or interface.
Connect your CAN logger or interface:
- Connect the DB9 cable to CH1 (or a secondary channel, if available) on your CAN logger or interface
- Connect the DC connector to a 10–30V power supply using a compatible DC power adapter
- Set the bit rate to match the target CAN bus — auto-detect is not supported
- Confirm your CAN logger or interface is not operating in silent mode
