The evaluation kit for the VPC3+S PROFIBUS Slave Controller has all the necessary components to get connected to PROFIBUS-DP. The kit provides a complete PROFIBUS slave application which is easily adapted.

With the integration of the complete Profibus-DP protocol, 4 KByte communication RAM and the flexible processor interface, this kits allows the creation of state-of-the-art Profibus slave applications.

KIT INCLUDES:

  • PROFIBUS base board including RS485 and fiber optic interface
  • Support of parallel, SPI and IC2 interface modules
  • Extension board with Atmel 89C5132 microcontroller (USB C51-based Microcontroller, 64K Bytes Flash, In-System-Programmable via USB)
  • PROFIBUS -DP V1/V2 Firmware (C source code)
  • PROFIBUS -DP V0 demo software (C source code)
  • Two additional VPC3+S ASICs for test purposes
  • Complete plug´n´play PROFIBUS DP Slave unit based on VPC3+S including appropriate hardware and software (source code): Everything needed for PROFIBUS newcomers to reduce development time and cost
