Product Description

The FireBat is a serial to Bluetooth Class 1 adapter that has rechargeable AAA battery capability. This adapter uses the standard Bluetooth Serial Port profile and is compatible with all clients running under Windows™ and other Bluetooth enabled  platforms. Rechargeable AAA batteries and power supply are optional.

There are three ways to utilize a FireBat:

1. Direct to a Bluetooth client: the client creates a SPP connection to the unit and uses a virtual COM style interface. Data is sent and received on the client exactly as if a serial cable was connected to a real COM port on the client.

2. Cable replacement: Pair two FireBats dongles via simple Dip switches. Or pair it with  Fireflies.

3. MASTER mode: Configure a FireBat to connect out over Bluetooth into a remote client or an access point or Bluetooth server.
