The MatchtPort® NR embedded device server module allows easy and affordable integration of Ethernet or IP networking on any device with a serial interface. Powered by a Lantronix DSTni™ x86 class processor, the MatchPort NR is a dedicated co-processor module that manages network activity and allows devices to be accessed and controlled over the internet. With a proven ready-to-use serial to Ethernet application the MatchPort NR manages the intricacies of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or Internet Protocol (IP) for your device by providing a full featured network protocol stack and a built-in web server.

Built-in web server funtionality with 1.2 MB of storage capacity allows for the creation of custom interactive web pages. Customization of web pages and configuration screens tailors the MatchPort NR to fit unique requirements and allows for product differentiation. Configurable GPIO pins or optional two-byte serial string triggers provide the ability to generate email notifications. These GPIO pins can also be used to control devices such as relays, lights, switches, sensors and even processes like data collection. The MatchPort NR is a pin and form-factor compatible member of the Lantronix MatchPort family of wireless and wired networking module solutions. With MatchPort easily add remote access, remote diagnostics and email notifications to any serial circuit board design. Any existing automation device like a remote sensor becomes more robust and cost competitive with the wireless or wired capabilities of MatchPort embedded networking.

Software:
The turnkey MatchPort NR does not require additional software to operate. Grid Connect also offers a MatchPort Evaluation Kit which allows a design engineer to develop custom applications for the MatchPort. This evaluation kit includes PC software to connect and configure your device to a PC.
