Product Description

CAN CC and CAN FD repeater for decoupling bus segments

The PCAN-Repeater connects two CAN bus segments with up to 5 kV galvanic isolation, supporting both CAN CC and CAN FD at bit rates from 14 kbit/s to 8 Mbit/s. Its DIN rail housing and extended temperature range make it well-suited for industrial deployments.

No configuration is required

The repeater forwards all CAN messages and error frames 1:1 between ports, improving signal quality while remaining fully transparent to the bus, just like a length of cable. It's ideal for isolating two CAN segments or extending stub lines to support additional CAN nodes.

Note: Because CAN bus length is bit-rate dependent, the PCAN-Repeater cannot be used to extend total bus length. Each unit installed reduces the network's maximum physical length by an amount corresponding to its transit delay.
