SP2+ Basic Version - sensorProbe2+: PSU

The AKCP sensorProbe2+ Basic (SP2+B) is a 0U rack-mountable, network-connected environmental monitoring controller built for server rooms, data centers, network closets, and telecom enclosures. Its four RJ45 sensor ports accept the full range of AKCP autosense sensors - temperature, humidity, water leak detection, thermal maps, smoke detectors, door contacts, and more - making it one of the most capable compact monitoring units available at this price point.

Important - active vs. locked ports: The SP2+B ships with 2 of its 4 sensor ports active. The remaining 2 ports are physically present on the unit but locked in firmware. They unlock permanently with a one-time license upgrade (available separately or pre-installed on the SP2+PRO). Each sensor port also supports dry contact I/O - up to 20 total across all ports - giving the SP2+B substantial alarm integration capacity for monitoring third-party equipment like generators, UPS units, PDUs, and HVAC systems. An internal buzzer triggers an audible alert on-device when any threshold is crossed, providing a local warning that does not depend on network connectivity.

Power options

Standard (PSU) models include a 5.5VDC 3A power supply in the box. PoE models draw power from your existing PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af) - no adapter is included or required. Both types support dual-input power redundancy via optional external DC-DC conversion boxes, accepting 12–24VDC or 48–60VDC - useful in telecom enclosures with cabinet-based DC power or data centers with dual PDUs.
