Product Description

The Ixxat USB-to-CAN FD compact is a galvanically isolated PC interface adapter that connects a computer to a CAN or CAN FD bus network via a D-Sub 9 connector. Built around an 80 MHz IFI CAN_FD IP controller, it supports a single switchable CAN/CAN FD channel with data rates up to 8 Mbit/s. This capability makes it well suited for testing, development, maintenance, and control tasks in industrial and automotive environments.

The adapter connects to the host PC over native USB 2.0 hi-speed (480 Mbit/s, compatible with USB 3.x), and is bus-powered, drawing up to 300 mA at 5 V DC. Galvanic isolation (800 V DC / 500 V AC for 1 min.) protects connected equipment from voltage transients.

VCI Driver Package

Ixxat's VCI driver package (Windows/Linux) provides a common driver interface across the Ixxat product family. It includes the canAnalyser3 Mini bus monitoring tool for first-step network analysis.
