GRID485-MBTCP Firmware Update v2.06

Firmware version v2.06 for the GRID485-MBTCP and GRID485-MBTCP-DIN units will begin shipping on 8/1/2026.

Description of Change:

This firmware update adds built-in diagnostics to the GRID485-MBTCP, allowing engineers to monitor traffic, capture packets, and analyze communication issues directly from the device.

Real-time traffic monitoring, Wireshark-compatible packet capture, and stronger security enforcement are now available at no additional cost to existing customers.

Diagnostics & Live Monitoring

• Live system log streaming with filtering for faster diagnostics
• Real-time Modbus traffic view showing request/response activity across TCP and RS-485
• Filtering tools on both views to isolate communication faults quickly

Security & Administration

• Stronger password requirements enforced at first-time device setup
• Configurable Web Port (HTTP) to support network security policies

Traffic Capture & Analysis

• Export captured Modbus TCP and RS-485 traffic as Wireshark PCAPNG for offline analysis
• Download full packet history for root-cause investigation without additional hardware

Reliability & UI Improvements

• Improved Modbus timing behavior and error reporting when a client is connected
• Updated web interface layout for clearer navigation and diagnostics

These features are available through a firmware update. No hardware changes required.

Availability & Recommended Action:

Firmware version v2.06 is available upon request for existing units.

New product orders will ship with firmware version v2.06 starting August 1, 2026.
