Product Description
This Class II wall-mount power supply delivers 9 VDC at up to 660 mA through a 5.5 × 2.1 mm center-positive barrel plug on a 1.5 m (5 ft) cable. It accepts 90–264 VAC input at 47–63 Hz and uses snap-on plug blades, so you can match it to the outlets where your equipment is installed.
Two versions
- The EU version includes only a European blade.
- The Universal version includes 5 blades, 1 each for North America, Europe, the UK, China and, Australia.
Both versions protect your device with over-current, short-circuit and over-voltage protection. They meet DoE Level VI efficiency standards, drawing 0.06 W with no load.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the Universal and EU versions?
Both use the same 9 VDC, 660 mA adapter. The Universal version comes with 4 interchangeable plug blades for North America, Europe, the UK and Australia. The EU version comes with only the European blade. Choose EU when all your equipment stays in Europe, and Universal when you ship to several regions.
Can I use this power supply outside the US?
Yes. It accepts 90–264 VAC at 47–63 Hz, which allows it to be used without a voltage converter. Just snap on the blade for the local outlet.
Will this fit my device?
It has a 5.5 × 2.1 mm barrel plug with center-positive polarity, a common combination on 9 V equipment. Before you order, check that your device’s input jack, polarity and voltage match. Also make sure the device draws 660 mA or less.
What happens if the output is overloaded or shorted?
The adapter shuts down to protect itself and your device, then recovers on its own once the fault is cleared. Over-voltage protection is also built in.
How do I change the plug blades on the universal version?
The blades snap on and off the adapter by hand, with no tools.
