IP WatchDog2 Industrial - Hwgroup industrial detector failure & restart: IP WatchDog2 Industrial Kit

The IP WatchDog2 Industrial is an automatic monitoring & recovery device that monitors the health of external systems by periodically checking for activity via:

• ICMP PING
• Web access
• RS-232 serial data (heartbeat)

If a failure is detected (no response or missing heartbeat), the device can automatically reboot the affected system.

Manual control is also available via a password-protected web interface.

Failure Detection Methods

• Outgoing PING – Sends PINGs to the monitored device.
• Incoming PING – Waits for PINGs from the device (heartbeat).
• Web Client – Tries to load a defined web page on the target device.
• Web Server – Waits for the device to access IP WatchDog’s internal web page (heartbeat).
• RS-232 Heartbeat – Listens for a specific string on the RS-232 line.
• Manual Reboot – Triggered by an operator.

Outputs & Channels

• 2 Physical Relay Outputs (230V/16A NO/NC) for direct device control
• 12 Monitoring Channels per unit
• Can reboot local or remote devices (via virtual outputs on Poseidon2/Damocles2)
