The ProfiHub B5+R is identical to the ProfiHub B5+RD including the feature of an integrated micro ProfiTrace diagnostic unit.

The ProfiHub B5+RD is the first ProfiHub to provide a built-in PROFIBUS DP slave for transferring diagnostic data to a host system. Identical to the ProfiHub B5+R, this unit has the additional feature of an integrated micro ProfiTrace diagnostic unit.

Once the user provides the ProfiHub with a software bus address, the data can be configured using the GSD file. The cyclical data can contain simple statistics up to complex structures identifying channel problems.
