Description
Authorized North America Distributor Stamp

This temperature Thermal Map Sensor has 6 sensors pre-wired for easy installation into a cabinet. Identify and eliminate hotspots in cabinets by identifying temperature differential areas inside a cabinet. The sensor can be configured top, middle, bottom of the front and rear of a cabinet to monitor air intake and exhaust temperatures and temperature differential from front to rear.

Advantages

  • Identify cabling or other obstructions causing airflow impediments.
  • Identify server or cooling fan failures causing temperature differentials between front and rear of cabinet.
  • Identify insufficient pressure differential to pull air through cabinet
  • Combine data with power consumption from the in-line power meter to safely make adjustments in the data center cooling systems.

Mounting (View diagram)

The temperature Thermal Map Sensor comes ready to mount with magnetic, cable ties or ultra high bond adhesive tape to hold them in position.

  • Perforated cabinet:  mount each sensor on the front and rear doors to expose them directly to the airflow in and out of the cabinet.
  • Sealed cabinet: mount them inside and get temperature differentials across the cabinet.

This sensor is compatible with the SP2+ (sensorProbe2+) and the SPX+and is automatically detected and configured. Extendable up to a maximum of 15 meters cable length, you can monitor multiple cabinets from a single IP address. Up to 16 thermal maps can be connected to a single SP2+.
