This temperature only Thermal Map Sensor allows for users to gain an accurate picture of their computer cabinet’s temperature. The primary function of this sensor is to help diagnose server room hotspots. It can help save cooling costs by having a precise method of monitoring the rack. Very low power is consumed while operating within server cabinets.
The thermal map should be place at the inlet of the rack in order to map the temperature at the base, middle, and top of the air inlet. A second thermal map can be utilized at the air outlet of a cabinet in order to monitor inlet and exhaust air temperatures at the bottom, middle, and top.
Connect the RJ-45 jack to the sensor using the UTP CAT5e/6 cable, which will allow the Thermal Map Sensor to be automatically detected by the sensorProbe2+. The sensor utilizes the AKCess Pro Server software (free with purchase of SP2+) to help create visual representation of hot-spots and allow for the prevention of potential problem areas.
