sensorProbe1+ - SP1+ PRO Version: NIST3 - Temperature - PSU

The AKCP sensorProbe1+ Pro (SP1+PRO) is a compact, network-connected environmental monitoring appliance designed for data centers, server rooms, telecom closets, and industrial facilities that need enterprise-grade security protocols and advanced monitoring capabilities from the moment it's installed.

The SP1+PRO ships with a hard-wired 5-foot sensor and one intelligent sensor port, providing you with two monitoring points in a single device no larger than a deck of cards. The intelligent port accepts the full range of AKCP autosense sensors - temperature, combined temperature and humidity, water leak detection, thermal maps, smoke detectors, and door contacts - making it straightforward to build out coverage as your needs grow. A dry contact I/O port rounds out the hardware, configurable as a digital input to monitor third-party alarms or as a relay output to trigger external devices.

Every SP1+PRO comes with the Professional license pre-installed. That means IPv6, SNMP v3, VPN, 3rd party Modbus device monitoring, RADIUS and TACACS authentication, sensor floor maps, heartbeat monitoring, cloud integration, access control for up to 500 users, and 5 virtual sensors are all active out of the box — no separate license purchase, no unlocking process. Virtual sensors can be expanded up to 80 total via additional license packs, allowing the SP1+PRO to serve as the monitoring hub for a surprisingly large number of data points relative to its size.

Variant Options

Choose from three sensor configurations: temperature-only, combined temperature and humidity (THS), or NIST-calibrated temperature (NIST3). Each is available with a standard AC power supply or PoE power.

NIST3 models: The NIST3 variants include a 3-point NIST-traceable calibration certificate, providing documented, lab-verified temperature accuracy. These are the right choice for pharmaceutical storage, life sciences, laboratories, and any regulated environment where auditable sensor accuracy is required.

Power options: Standard (PSU) models include a 100–240V AC power adapter in the box. PoE models draw power directly from your PoE-capable switch (IEEE 802.3af) - no adapter is included or required. Optional external DC-DC conversion boxes allow dual 12–24VDC or 48–60VDC input for redundant power, ideal for telecom cabinets or dual-PDU data center racks.

Compared to the Basic, the Pro license unlocks 5 virtual sensors (expandable up to 80 via license packs), sensor floor maps, 3rd party Modbus device monitoring, IPv6, SNMP v3, VPN connectivity, access control for up to 500 users, RADIUS/TACACS authentication, heartbeat monitoring, and cloud integration with Quicklime Sensor Monitoring Software.
