Take your PCAN-Explorer 7 license with you — no fixed PC or server installation required.

The PEAK-License Dongle is a portable USB license container for your PCAN-Explorer 7 license (sold separately). Instead of tying a license to a specific PC or server, it can be stored on this physical device. Plug it into any compatible computer and PCAN-Explorer 7 runs using the license on the dongle.

A practical option for engineers who move between workstations, split time between office and field, or simply need flexible access without committing to a single location for activation.

A few things worth knowing:

  • The dongle does not include a license — it's a secure container for your separately purchased PCAN-Explorer 7 license
  • Existing PC or server licenses can be transferred to a dongle at any time via the PEAK licensing system — a 24-hour waiting period applies between each license transfer
  • All dongles are identical and interchangeable. They are not serialized and can be replaced if needed

Available in USB-A and USB-C. Both versions work identically. The choice comes down to which port you have available. Both support Single User and Floating licenses.
