SPX8-X20 - sensorProbeX+ (SPX+) Standard Configuration

The sensorProbeX+ standard configuration, SPX8-X20, is equipped with Ethernet, Modbus RS485, Expansion (EXP) and BEB (Basic Expansion Bus) communications, 8 sensor ports and 20 dry contact inputs. All AKCP sensors are compatible.

Notifications can be sent through SNMP and email, and there is an internal buzzer for audible alerts. Its low profile design and 1U mounting saves on expensive cabinet space.

Use EXP and BEB to expand the capabilities of your device. BEB is good for short distance expansion such as within the same cabinet or a nearby cabinet. The EXP works over a longer distance with up to 300 meters between each device. 

Modbus is a cost effective way to implement in industrial applications. Used as a Modbus gateway, the SPX8-X20 can be used as a master or a slave. For example, connect with a generator engine to get remote monitoring capabilities.

The SPX8-X20 standard configuration is equipped with

• 8x intelligent sensor ports,
• 20x I/O dry contacts,
• 1x EXP /Modbus / RS485 port,
• 1x BEB port, and
• 1U rack mounting with brackets.

Need additional functionality?
This basic configuration can be expanded through additional modules; however, they will exceed the 1U length thus requiring 0U mounting or an additional 1U BEB unit.
